about
Hey. My name is Dieter Randolph, but DC is easier for all of us. Let’s go with that.
I am a husband, a dad, and a grandpa, and those are the best things about me by a country mile.
I am also a minister; I was ordained in 1994, shortly after the earth cooled and the dinosaurs left. In the time between then and now, I have tried to think and feel through what it means to live a spiritual life. So far, I’m pretty sure that being spiritual means being dedicated to something transcendent, but that also shows up in real life. So I really try to show up, too.
This website is a place for me to share what I have been thinking about and working on, partially inspired by a good friend, who was himself inspired by Cory Doctorow’s Memex approach. You are looking at my version of that.
I am always writing down little weird notes about what occurs to me as the big Mystery shows up in different ways all the time. On a good day, which is most days, I open up one of those journal entries and make it into something I can share with you.
So thanks for showing up.
If you want to get in touch with me, please use the links at the bottom of this page. I’d love to hear from you.
If you find something here that speaks to you, I would be honored if you’d help me spread the word.
If you really like what’s going on here, you can buy me a coffee, or, better still, buy something I’ve written. My latest books are Meaningfullfilled and Branching In (I wrote that one with my brilliant wife Jenny), and I am working on something new right now.
